Effective Date: 01 DEC 2025
LocomoTravel (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit or use LocomoTravel (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here.
Account Registration: If you create an account, we collect personal data you provide, such as First and Last Name, Email address, Phone number, Postal address, and any other information you input (e.g. emergency contact, passport info for bookings).
Booking Information: When you make a booking, we process payment and travel details. We collect the information needed to complete reservations (names, passport details, credit card info), which is shared with travel suppliers.
Usage Data (Automatically Collected): We gather data about how you use the Service, as detailed in other privacy policies. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited on our site, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, and unique device identifiers. Such usage data is collected via cookies and tracking scripts. For example, one template policy notes that “Usage Data is collected automatically… and may include information such as your device’s IP address, browser type, the pages… visited, [and] time of your visit”.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tools to understand and enhance your experience. Cookies may store your session ID or preferences. We may also use advertising pixels and analytics scripts (e.g. Google Analytics). Google Analytics, for instance, uses cookies to collect website usage statistics for businesses without identifying individual users. You can configure your browser to decline cookies, but some features of the Service may not function without them.
Third-Party Data: We may receive data about you from third parties (e.g. advertising partners, social media if you sign in via those accounts). Any such data will be handled according to this policy.
We use the data we collect for various purposes, including:
Providing and Improving Services: We use your personal data to operate our Service, process bookings, and manage your account. This includes activities like confirming reservations and fulfilling your travel itinerary.
Account Management: To manage your account registration and profile. This gives you access to account features and booking history.
Contract Performance: To fulfill contracts you enter with us (e.g. purchasing a tour, flight, or hotel). We process payments and reservations for services you book.
Communications: To communicate with you about your bookings or account (via email, SMS, or phone). This includes sending confirmations, travel updates, security alerts, and responding to your inquiries.
Marketing: With your consent (and where permitted), to send you news, promotions, or special offers about services similar to those you’ve used. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
Customer Support: To address and manage your requests or issues (e.g. responding to support inquiries).
Business Operations: To analyze usage (to improve and enhance our Service), for fraud prevention, and to evaluate business transactions (such as a merger or sale).
Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records, regulatory compliance) or protect our legal rights. For example, we may use your data to defend against legal claims or comply with court orders.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve the site and analyze traffic. We employ Google Analytics to understand site usage: Google Analytics “uses a set of cookies to collect information on behalf of businesses which use the Google Analytics service and report site usage statistics… without personally identifying individual visitors”. These cookies (like ‘_ga’) distinguish visitors but do not identify them personally. You can learn more or opt out at Google’s website.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: With third-party companies who perform services on our behalf (e.g. payment processors, IT services, analytics, customer support). These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only for the tasks we have contracted them to do. For instance, we share data with analytics and payment vendors.
Affiliates and Partners: With our corporate affiliates and joint venture partners. We require them to comply with this Privacy Policy. We may also share data with business partners to co-promote certain services or offers.
Other Users: If you post content publicly (e.g. in forums or comments), that content (and any personal info therein) may be visible to all users. Be careful what you share.
Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or to comply with investigations by authorities. We may also disclose information to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of our users or others.
Business Transfers: If LocomoTravel is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity. The new owner will be required to honor this policy.
With Consent: Whenever we have your consent to share for other purposes.
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Usage Data (like logs) may be kept longer for analysis, but generally for a shorter time. When we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymize it.
We implement reasonable security measures (encryption, access controls) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country (for example, in the United States or other locations where our providers operate). Data protection laws may differ in those jurisdictions. By using our Service and submitting data, you consent to such transfer. We will take steps to ensure your data is treated securely, for example by implementing standard contractual clauses or other safeguards.
If you are an EU or UK resident, you have rights under the GDPR. These include:
Right of Access: You can request confirmation of whether we hold your personal data and obtain a copy of it.
Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can request deletion of your data when it is no longer needed or if you withdraw consent. (There are exceptions, e.g. data needed for legal compliance).
Right to Restrict Processing: You can request us to limit processing your data in certain situations (e.g. if accuracy is contested).
Right to Data Portability: You can request a machine-readable copy of your data.
Right to Object: You can object to processing of your data (e.g. for direct marketing or profiling).
Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@locomotravel.com. We will respond within the time required by law (usually one month). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (for example, in your EU country).
Our Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected a child’s data without parental consent, we will delete it. For EU users, parental consent is required for data collection under age 16; in other regions the age may be 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” will be updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
If you have questions or concerns about this policy or our data practices, please email us at hello@locomotravel.com
